Douglas J. Perko
Mr. Perko, a native of Arvada, did his undergraduate work at the University of Colorado, graduating Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science, was elected to Phi Beta Kappa and was also a Jacob Van Ek Scholar. He received his Juris Doctor from the University of Colorado Law School in 1985, where he was a member of the University of Colorado Law Review.
Mr. Perko was admitted to the Colorado Bar in 1985. He also has been admitted to the Bars of the United States District Court for Colorado (1985), 10th Circuit Court of Appeals (1985), United States District Court Arizona (1993), and the United States District Court Alaska (1994). Mr. Perko served as a Law Clerk for the Honorable Howard M Kirshbaum, Colorado Supreme Court, from 1985-86. Mr. Perko became an associate to David R. DiGiacomo in 1986, an associate to DiGiacomo & Jaggers in 1989, and a partner of DiGiacomo, Jaggers, & Perko, LLP in 1998.
Mr. Perko holds memberships in several associations, including the Colorado Bar Association, the 1st Judicial District Bar Association and the Colorado Trial Lawyers Association. A former member of the Kiwanis, Mr Perko also provided service to his community as a member of the Board of Directors of A Step Up, a local youth development non-profit corporation, and as a frequent guest speaker on law at local schools and community groups.
Mr. Perko's main areas of practice include plaintiff personal injury, employment law and civil litigation. Mr. Perko is married and has four children.
